About me

.Thank you very much for visiting my website! My name is Daniel González Belinchón and I am a translator and proofreader since 2003.

.I have a degree in Italian Philology with a specialisation in German Language and Literature from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid.

.I’m a member of the Asociación Española de Traductores, Correctores e Intérpretes, ASETRAD.

.You can download my resume to have all the information about my professional profile in a single document.

.I started working as a freelance translator after an internship for a Spanish company in charge of a major watch portal on the Internet and for an independent German publishing house based in Berlin.

.In 2004 I settled in Germany as a freelance translator and during the following 3 years I combined this professional activity with different in-house jobs: an important German distributor of dental products, then a German manufacturer of forklift attachments and finally, simultaneously with my law studies, a law firm based in Spain.

.In all these positions I was in charge of translation, proofreading, creating glossaries and terminology for the generated content, as well as advising on all linguistic matters.

.This work experience has allowed me to acquire very good technical knowledge for my fields of specialisation.

.For the German distributor of dental products I have attended several training courses and seminars on orthodontics, endodontics, oral rehabilitation and implantology, etc., and the knowledge I acquired I still apply in all my translations on this subject.

.For the manufacturer of forklift truck attachments I completed, among other trainings, an advance course in the design, manufacture, assembly and finishing of these essential parts for the logistics sector.

.For the law firm, I was also in charge of the written communication with lawyers and procuradores, review of court summons, appeals and notifications, case law research, analysis of legal content, insurance policies, contracts, etc.
